Privacy notice for customers
St. Briavels Assembly Rooms Committee members may need to collect information from you in order to tell you about activities, events and services. If you hire the hall, data is held for booking and invoicing purposes. If you provide goods or services to the hall, data is held to arrange receipt of goods and services and pay invoices.
Information collected
- Contact information such as name, telephone numbers, email and postal address.
- Information provided in hall booking forms or when booking event tickets.
- Information provided when you communicate with the hall.
- Financial details needed to make or receive payment.
Mailing lists and consent
When you sign up for newsletters or event updates, your name and email address are used to send the updates requested and maintain an accurate list. Mailing-list information is not disclosed beyond Trustees on a need-to-know basis. You can unsubscribe by replying with “unsubscribe”. Forms will ask for consent and explain how information will be used.
Use and storage
Information is used to provide requested Village Hall services and meet contractual commitments. Physical data is kept securely in a locked cabinet accessible only by designated committee members. Computers holding personal data are password protected, as are portable devices. Internet transmission is not completely secure and is at your own risk.
Access and disposal
You can ask what information is held about you, request corrections, and ask for your data to be destroyed. Some data may need to be retained where there is a legitimate or legal need, including minimum periods for certain records. If data is destroyed, you will be notified in writing when and how this happened.
